Adventures
The world becomes larger when we meet it fully.
A journal of flight, ocean, movement, service, and the encounters that continue to widen my perspective.

A way of seeing
Adventure is not escape. It is attention.
The experiences I remember most are not defined by distance or difficulty alone. They are the moments that demand complete presence: reading the wind, trusting a dive plan, preparing an aircraft, learning a horse, or listening carefully in an unfamiliar place.
Each journey offers a new vantage point. Together, they form an evolving education in humility, courage, service, and curiosity.
Motion journals
Field notes in film
Some experiences are better witnessed than summarized.
These films preserve the motion, sound, and atmosphere of the journey—the moments between preparation and exhilaration where perspective quietly changes.
From the air
Freedom begins with preparation.
Aviation, skydiving, and paragliding reward discipline before they offer freedom. The horizon feels different when every decision matters and the world is viewed without its usual boundaries.
Amazon field notes
The forest changes the scale of everything.
Across Brazil's Amazon and farther west near Iquitos, Peru, the river and rainforest ask for a different kind of attention. Time is measured in weather, water, animal movement, and knowledge carried across generations. These journeys reinforced something simple: exploration has meaning only when curiosity is accompanied by humility.

Perspective
“In the Amazon, scale humbles you before beauty has time to impress you.”

Into the blue
Awe is a form of understanding.
Encounters with orcas, humpback whales, great whites, and tiger sharks replace abstraction with scale, beauty, and respect. Beneath the surface, attention becomes instinctive—and conservation becomes personal.
Moved by wind
Control begins with learning to listen.
Wind cannot be negotiated with; it must be read. Kitesurfing turns attention into motion and uncertainty into a continuous conversation between water, weather, and instinct.
Service in motion
The most meaningful flight has someone waiting at the other end.
Rescue flying transforms aviation into connection. Each mission is a relay of trust—pilots, volunteers, families, and animals moving together toward safety and a new beginning.
On the field
Partnership is learned at speed.
Polo combines intuition, timing, horsemanship, and trust. At Saratoga, every chukker is an exercise in reading movement while remaining calm inside it.
Black Rock City
A temporary city. An enduring sense of possibility.
Burning Man is less a destination than a shared act of imagination: art, music, dust, generosity, and radical participation creating a world that exists briefly and stays with you long after it disappears.
The continuing journal
The horizon keeps moving.
This is a living journal. New flights, dives, places, and encounters will join it over time—not as a checklist of destinations, but as reflections on what each experience reveals.
